Session 1 Begins Monday, July 8

Please be sure to send your students on the first day with the Summer Laureate tag that you will receive in the mail sometime this month. This will help teachers know exactly how each student is getting home each day. Due the limited parking space at McKinley Elementary, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE families to send their students to and from the program using the APS bus transportation.

You should receive a mailing in June with additional information about the program. This will also include a Grade Level Tag that your son/daughter can wear on the first day of the program. Please include dismissal information on this tag.

At the end of the first day…families can expect to see a First Day Letter and directions on how you can sign up for access to your child’s individual digital portfolio on Seesaw. This portfolio can be shared with up to ten family members and accessed on just about any device…including your cell phone with the Seesaw Family app. You will be able to send comments to your child about their work, offering them encouragement and connecting with their summer school experience.
